Charitable IRA Rollover!
If you are 70 ½ or older temporary legislation allows you to make cash gifts totaling up to $100,000 per year from your traditional or Roth IRA to qualified charities without incurring income tax on the withdrawal. This is good news for people who want to make a charitable gift during their lifetime from their retirement assets, but have been discouraged from doing so because of the income tax penalty. The current provision is effective for tax years 2008 and 2009 only.

Membership

Description

The Tapteal Greenway operates on a budget funded by grants and membership fees. Members receive a quarterly newsletter, special invitations to the annual meeting, and have attendance privileges at board meetings.

The membership fee is tax deductible as we are a non-profit tax exempt organization. The fee enrolls members for one year at a time and notification will be sent when a renewal is required. If you would like your newsletter delivered via email, please note that when you send your check.

We have provided a link to Guidestar on our links page. Guidestar identifies non-profits and provides tax deduction forms for those who chose to donate. Go to our links page and click on Guidestar, then type in Tapteal Greenway.

TaptealFastTalk Listserv

You can stay informed with what's happening with the Tapteal Greenway Association by signing up for the TaptealFastTalk listserv. If you are unfamiliar with a listserv, it is similar to an e-mail distribution list. When someone sends an e-mail to the listserv, it sends the e-mail to all those subscribed to the list. In this case, the listserv is an announcements-only list and currently there are only two people that can send an e-mail to the list, Scott Woodward and Dan Harter.
