Charitable IRA Rollover!
If you are 70 ½ or older temporary legislation allows you to make cash gifts totaling up to $100,000 per year from your traditional or Roth IRA to qualified charities without incurring income tax on the withdrawal. This is good news for people who want to make a charitable gift during their lifetime from their retirement assets, but have been discouraged from doing so because of the income tax penalty. The current provision is effective for tax years 2008 and 2009 only.

Description

The Tapteal Greenway operates on a budget funded by grants, membership fees, and donations. Without your contributions, our organization would cease to exist. Thank you in advance for your generous contribution.

Your donation is tax deductible as we are a non-profit tax exempt organization. You will be provided with documenation of your contribution, which you should retain for tax purposes.

General Contribution

To contribute an amount of your choosing to the Tapteal Greenway Association General fund, select the Donate button below. All payments are handled via PayPal and are tax deductible.

Amon Basin Contribution

To contribute an amount of your choosing specifically to Amon Basin, select the Donate button below. Amon Basin donations over $100 will be refunded upon request if the project does not close. All payments are handled via PayPal and are tax deductible. If you would prefer to send a check for your Amon Basin donation, follow the instructions below for mailing and make sure to include "Amon Basin" in the memo line.

Conservation Contribution

The Board of Directors feels it would be in the community's best interest to establish a permanent fund specifically targeting conservation. Eventually this is the role that we envision the Ridges to Rivers (RROSN) group assuming. However the pace of development in our area cannot wait for all of the RROSN pieces to fall into place. In light of that we are proposing a special fund housed in the Bank of the West with the Tapteal account that only services conservation. Any donations targeting conservation go there, earn interest and stand ready to work for the protection of our cherished habitats. You can make scheduled deposits, periodic donations or even dedicate estates and IRA withdrawals to the conservation account. This can also be the target of corporate donations with one stop shopping so to speak. If you prefer to mail in your contribution, use the address below and write "conservation" in the memo line of your check. If you prefer to pay via PayPal, use the button below and your contribution will be entered in our conservation account. This is a legacy gift to our community we urge you to consider this giving option.

TaptealFastTalk Listserv

You can stay informed with what's happening with the Tapteal Greenway Association by signing up for the TaptealFastTalk listserv. If you are unfamiliar with a listserv, it is similar to an e-mail distribution list. When someone sends an e-mail to the listserv, it sends the e-mail to all those subscribed to the list. In this case, the listserv is an announcements-only list and currently there are only two people that can send an e-mail to the list, Scott Woodward and Dan Harter.
